Susie is the director of Pura Vida Yoga. She has been providing groups and individuals with health and fitness programs for over 28 years. She has been involved in many aspects of wellness, including aerobic dance instruction, sport training, Olympic weight lifting, cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, fitness club management, Spinning, and meditation.
Susie has a degree in Exercise Science and Wellness and has earned over 16 nationally-recognized certifications to include Intermediate Junior Iyengar Yoga Instructor, Power Pilates Instructor, and Reiki Master.
A resident of Boca Raton for 46 years, she taught in the Exercise Science and Wellness Department at Florida Atlantic University and has owned four yoga and fitness facilities. A back injury in 1992 allowed Susie to rediscover the therapeutic benefits of yoga, hence her knack for therapeutics and healing.
Susie continues to keep herself strong through yoga and Pilates and studies regularly with senior Iyengar yoga teachers Dean Lerner and Manouso Manos. Through her joyful and friendly teaching style, Susie enjoys sharing the gift of yoga to bring her students to good physical health and happiness of mind so they can enjoy a pure life.
When Susie is not teaching or practicing she enjoys the ocean, cooking, cycling, and leading retreats in Costa Rica.
Kerry is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, as well as a Licensed Massage Therapist, who has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and has been teaching Iyengar Yoga for 13 years. She has attended numerous Iyengar Yoga workshops with Senior Iyengar teachers throughout the country and participated in both the New England and Midwest Regional Iyengar Yoga Conferences. She continues her studies under the guidance of Dean Lerner and Colleen Gallagher.
Kerry loves yoga, teaching and learning from and with her students. Her goal for both her students and herself is to bring the practice of yoga from the classroom into everyday living.
Judy has been studying Iyengar Yoga for over 18 years and has been certfied in the Iyengar method for 7 years. She has studied with Colleen Gallagher and many senior Iyengar teachers including Manouso Manos, Lois Steinberg and Patricia Walden. She is also certified to teach aerial yoga.
Aside from teaching yoga, Judy also owns an antique jewelry business and enjoys painting watercolors.
E-RYT-200, Certified Yoga Kids Facilitator and certified Radiant Child and Family Yoga - 200, personally trained and certified by Shakta Kaur Khalsa of RYC.
Her training includes Integrated Movement Therapy, Teahing Yoga to Children with Special Needs, Brain Gym, and YogaEd. She has been teaching yoga to both adults and children for the last ten years. She has conducted yoga therapy sessions for children with ADHD, Autism, and thos who are Differently-Abled in both individual and group settings.
Abigail has a strong interest in serving others. It all began at the age of 15 when she volunteered for ski patrol and began candy striping at a long term facility. Her love of healthcare led her to hiking, aerobic dance instruction, and the healing benefits of massage therapy.On the beautiful island of Guam she was introduced to yoga and studied massage from instructors well versed in the Balinese and Japanese traditions.With a desire to know more, Abigail began studying Iyengar Yoga, meditation, and massage therapy.She has had the unique opportunity to teach yoga abroad in the diplomatic circles of both Eastern Europe and Western Africa.She has been a RYT with Yoga Alliance since 2009 and studied Iyengar Yoga with Susie Huard and Manouso Manos.As a registered nurse current in both CPR and ACLS, Abigail is passionate about assisting as many people as possible to improve their health.She teaches hatha yoga with a strong Iyengar influence, close attention to balance, alignment, and presence in the practice.
Stephanie opened and co directed Boca Raton's first yoga studio in the 1990's and opened Boca Raton's first all organic juice bar and salad/sandwich shop back in the 1980's. Stephanie is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and has studied many different styles and methods of yoga but it was the Iyengar method that captured her soul. She has studied with many of the senior Iyengar yoga teachers including Geeta and BKS Iyengar and continues her journey through practive and self study. Her passions in life are her family, playing frisbee, preparing raw vegan foods and continuing her journey of yoga.
Michelle discovered Yoga over 15 years ago when transitioning to a holistic lifestyle. Here, the spiritual journey and love of yoga began.
Michelle has been teaching Yoga since 2006. As an RYT and Yoga Alliance certified teacher, teaching Hatha yoga and Restorative and feels her teaching style has been greatly influenced by the Sivananda and Anusara inspired teachers that she has practiced with.
Michelle works within the Recovery community, certified in Yoga For The Higher Powered which is a combination yoga and meditation in the language and philosophy of Recovery.
Michelle's practice is rooted in spirituality as she uses Yoga and mindful movement to connect on a deeper level. She works with students of all ages, levels of practice and physical considerations as well as students with depression and anxiety.

Michelle teaches from the heart, guiding and encouraging each individual student to come into harmony from within and connect to one's true self. She has been vegan for almost a decade.

Wilson McLean, 200 RYT
Wilson is the newest addition to our studio and is currently a Doctoral student at Florida Atlantic University’s School of Public Administration. His research focuses on organization theory & behavior, with his concentrations being upon developing healthy organizational structures, holistic organizational wellness cultures, and healthy leadership styles. In both his professional and personal life Wilson believes healing and wellness is the essential component to a fulfilling and enjoyable life.
He is an avid yoga practitioner, who first “found” yoga seven years ago when he attended one of Susie’s classes at East Boca Yoga. Since then, Wilson has passionately pursued all different types of Eastern healing and spiritual practices including various styles of Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Reiki, and Mindfulness practices. Yoga has played an integral role in helping Wilson heal from a number of physical and mental illnesses, thus leading him to trips throughout Nepal & China to further explore these ancient practices and the completion of a 200 HR RYT in 2012. Wilson brings to our studio a youthful enthusiasm and passion for yoga along with a zealous commitment to help all those who attend his classes realize the amazing benefits and efficiency of the yoga practice. His classes emphasize the importance of both the breath and alignment, but also focus specifically on relaxation, de-stressing, healing various mental illnesses, and creating mind-body wellness to help us find balance and joy in all aspects of our lives.
Megan Huard Customer Relations
Megan Huard was born and raised in Boca Raton, Fl and spent most of her childhood following her mom around in fitness facilities. After high school, she decided to take her love of food and turn it into a career. She graduated in 2005 with a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Miami. She worked at the prestigious Pritikin Longevity Center Resort & Spa as a head chef. While at Pritikin she got to take her love of cooking and her passion for a healthy lifestyle and share it with others. Megan then went on to persue a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International Univeristy and became a Registered Dietitian in 2013. She has since been working in private practice counseling clients on how to live a healthy liftstyle. She believes that a healthful lifestyle isn't just about what you eat but a full mind, body approach. In addition to her passion and expertise on healthy living, Megan also frequently captures our yoga events and retreats as the proud photographer and owner behind the camera of In A Glimpse Photography.
